01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

The pleasure of falafel begins with its contrast of textures: a crisp exterior and a tender centre. One diner who had a lunch plate of falafel, vegetables and rice at Falafel Garden said the beans’ texture and gentle spices worked well with the rice, and noted that the plate came with plenty of vegetables. The menu’s Falafel Plate offers a similar combination, with 5 large falafel balls, carrot salad, green salad and rice. It is a good choice when you would rather enjoy everything together on a plate than tuck it into pita.

The Falafel Pita Sandwich, by contrast, brings falafel together with vegetables and sauce in a pita. Diners have remarked on the generous amount of vegetables and sandwiches so full that the fillings nearly spill out. Reviews also mention that some combinations are lighter while others are a little oily, making it worth considering how the fillings go together. Hummus or baba ganoush can be added to falafel. Chicken kebab is available in a pita or on a plate, too. For sharing, the Mixed Plate is another option, pairing falafel balls with hummus, baba ganoush, salad and 2 half pita. Diners have praised the chicken kebab and baba ganoush in pita sandwiches; choosing between a meal centred on beans and one that includes kebab changes the character of the table.

Lunch sets come with soup, with options ranging from pita and fries to plates served with rice and salad. Vegetarian and vegan options are listed. Inside, diners can look out towards the river, while the shaded garden terrace offers outdoor seating.
